How does it work?

A laser cutter is a CNC machine which is programmed using the latest graphic software.

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to cut and engrave materials. A powerful laser beam, set at a precise focal length is directed onto a material to cut, kiss cut or engrave.

Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting is when the machine has been set up with the optimum settings,

usually at a high power and low speed to cut through for your chosen material.

Kiss Cutting

Kiss Cutting is when the laser scores the surface of the material along a vector path.

Usually at a high speed and low power.

This can add brilliant detail to your designs.

Laser Engraving

Laser Engraving is when the machine burns a design onto the surface of a material.

Different results can be achieved depending on the machine's power and speed settings as well as the material used within the process.

There are a many different materials you can laser cut and engrave which are detailed in the list below.

I keep a few standard materials in stock, but have a brilliant range of suppliers so I can order specific materials for you within a couple of days.

Unfortunately I cannot engrave or laser cut any metal products.

Design Files

If you don't have a design file, don't worry!

We can create design files and make them laser ready for you.

We can get started on a design for you from pretty much any file.

Please note that we do charge a one-off design fee per design file.

If you can supply us with a correctly drawn design file,

it will save us time and will save you money on set up costs

We prefer design files in these formats:

SVG, DXF and AI files

Vector Cutting : Red Hairline (0.025mm)

Kiss Cut: Blue Hairline (0.025mm)

Raster Engraving: Solid Black Fill
